With Halloween coming so soon I thought we talked a little about Halloween from me personal and in general!
When did it start? Halloween started as a little festival about 2,000 years ago on October 31 as a pre-Christian Celtic festival of Samhain. The land that they used to celebrate the festival in now know as Ireland, The United Kingdom, and Northern France. It was believed that the dead would return during the Celtic festival of Samhain, people gathered around lightly lighten bone fires, offering sacrifices and homage to the deceased.
Who started the Halloween tradition? The pre-Christians that used to live what is now Ireland, The UK, and Northern France began the tradition around the ninth century.
Where was Halloween first celebrated? Halloween was celebrated in what was known to the pre-Christians as Celtic festival of Samhain spreading from the lans of Ireland, the UK, and Northern France.

Now on to some more personal questions like...
What does Halloween mean to me? Well, Halloween means a good amount to me because the month it takes place is also the month of my birthday and one of my favorite seasons which is fall. I enjoy Halloween because of the dark stories that surface. the detailed and not so detailed ones. Halloween is a time of tricks and some treats to be have. To enjoy your time with friends while spooking each other. So yes, Halloween does mean something to me.
Do I still go trick or treating? This is gonna be my second year in a row that I do not attend trick-or-treating. I used to enjoy going around in a costume receiving free candy from the kind people offer, but to me its more about how you spend Halloween. I enjoy reading the dark stories.
My favorite Halloween moment? I think my favorite Halloween moment would have to be when I went to go trick-or-treating in my old neighborhood.I had moved to another neighborhood but we drove back to the old one we used to live in and it brought back good memories.
My favorite Halloween Movie? If I had to pick from the variety of movies out there, I would pick The Nightmare before Christmas because of its stop-motion animation cheesiness and its dark humorous stories to me. It starts of with Jack the Pumpkin King, my favorite character, bored of Halloween and discovers Christmas and tries to control Christmas by kidnapping Santa Claus. When he realizes his mistake, he succeeds in saving him from Oogie Boogie and all goes well. It's a nice movie.
Now go and enjoy the darkness as the day when the dead rise begins to come closer and closer......
